Nursing Insight is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in scholarly publishing. The journal follows the core practices and ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, and reviewers—are expected to uphold ethical principles, transparency, and academic honesty.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- Manuscripts are original and free from plagiarism
- Data are accurate, transparent, and honestly reported
- All listed authors meet authorship criteria (ICMJE guidelines)
- Proper citation and acknowledgment of sources are provided
- The manuscript is not submitted or published elsewhere simultaneously
- Any conflicts of interest are fully disclosed
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for ensuring:
- Fair, unbiased, and confidential peer review
- Editorial decisions based solely on academic merit
- Proper handling of ethical issues such as plagiarism or misconduct
- No conflict of interest in editorial decision-making
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts under review
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback
- Declare any conflicts of interest
- Avoid using manuscript content for personal advantage
- Follow COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers
Misconduct and Ethical Issues
Nursing Insight takes publication misconduct seriously. The journal will take appropriate action in cases of:
- Plagiarism
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Authorship misconduct
- Ethical violations in research involving humans or animals
Plagiarism Policy
All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts with significant similarity to published work may be rejected or returned for revision.
