Open Access Policies
Journal of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy (JoPES) is a fully open-access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
Publishing open access with JoPES ensures that your article is accessible online immediately upon publication. Unrestricted access significantly increases the visibility, readership, and global impact of your research, allowing educators, scholars, and practitioners worldwide to discover and cite your work.
Many research funders and academic institutions now mandate that funded research be published under open-access terms. Publishing with JoPES enables you to comply fully with these requirements. Any applicable Article Processing Charges (APC) required to support our double-blind peer review, production, and long-term digital archiving are often eligible for coverage by your institution or research funder.
